At full time, the Bernabeu blared ‘You’ll never walk alone’ in tribute to Liverpool.
Addressing that gesture, Ancelotti said: “I didn't know, but it's very good.
“Liverpool is a gentlemen's club, they reminded us of Amancio in the first leg. It has been a very nice gesture with them.”
One team Real could face in the last eight is Real Madrid, who Ancelotti previously won the Champions League with.
He doesn’t want to face them now, however, saying: "I want Milan in the final, not in the quarter-finals."
