Conte was absent from Tottenham's behind-closed-doors friendly against Ipswich on Thursday, with Mason and Cristian Stellini taking charge of the match. In the midst of the uncertainty surrounding Tottenham's managerial situation, they were dealt a blow for out-of-work managers as Thomas Tuchel was snapped up by Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga giants moved quickly to fire Julian Nagelsmann this week following a poor run of form which saw them lose top spot heading into the international break. Tuchel had been linked with taking over from Conte, but it's now being suggested the club could look at Nagelsmann as an option.
Former Tottenham star Jamie O'Hara believes Nagelsmann would be the perfect appointment for Spurs. "Nagelsmann sacked by Bayern, Spurs should get straight on the phone to him," he tweeted.
