He added: "Transfer targets are something that the scouting team and data analysts know very well and will be working on. Next year, hopefully Arsenal have won the Premier League and they will be in the Champions League, so you need to strengthen the team.

"We saw during the season this year, against Sporting Lisbon, that in order to play in four competitions, and playing every three or four days, you need the squad to compete at this level, so Arsenal have to strengthen the squad in the summer."
