Arsenal are interested in signing Eden Hazard from Real Madrid in the January transfer window, according to MediaFoot. The report has claimed that the Premier League club have made contact with last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners and have asked about bringing the Belgian attacking midfielder to the Emirates Stadium in the middle of the campaign.
Hazard has not had a major impact at Madrid since joining Los Blancos from Chelsea. The Belgian, who can also operate as a winger, has has injury problems, and when fit, he has not been able to get into the team. Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is unlikely to use him much in the second half of the season.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment, while Madrid are aiming to win the La Liga title for the second season in a row.
