Newcastle United are interested in signing Nabil Fekir from Real Betis in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Premier League club Newcastle plan to make an offer of €45 million to La Liga outfit Betis for the 29-year-old France international midfielder.
Betis, though, do not plan to sell Fekir in the January transfer window for €45 million. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder is under contract at Betis until the summer of 2026, and the Spanish club will want more that what the Magpies are willing to offer.
Fekir has been on the books of Betis since 2019 and has established himself as an important player in the team. The French playmaker has made six starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. The 29-year-old has scored two goals in three UEFA Europa League games so far this campaign.
